How Can Customers Pay Through WhatsApp and Social Media?

A social-commerce agent should guide the customer into a secure provider-hosted payment experience and use verified status events to continue the order. It should never ask the customer to type raw card details into a chat.

Can a customer pay inside a social conversation?

RaddAI can generate or route the customer to a secure payment step and deliver it inside the conversation. The transaction itself is processed by the configured gateway; the agent handles the surrounding customer journey and available status updates.

Which payment providers can be connected?

The published integration scope includes Paymob, Flash, and Stripe, as well as deployment-specific gateways through APIs or middleware. Compatibility depends on the merchant account, market, authentication, supported events, and requested operations.

Can customers use cards or wallets?

Eligible cards, wallets, installments, and other methods are determined by the merchant’s gateway configuration and country. RaddAI presents only the options returned or approved for that deployment.

Can customers choose cash on delivery?

Cash on delivery can be offered when the order, zone, customer, and business rules mark it as eligible. The order is then routed with the correct collection responsibility and payment state.

Does RaddAI store card information?

No. Raw card details should remain within the payment provider’s secure environment. RaddAI may use non-sensitive transaction references and status events needed to connect payment with the order workflow.

How is payment status confirmed?

The workflow should rely on authenticated provider responses or webhooks and map states such as pending, succeeded, failed, expired, cancelled, or under review. An ambiguous state must be verified before the order is duplicated or treated as paid.

What happens when payment fails?

RaddAI can explain that payment was not completed, answer a blocking question, offer another eligible method, or regenerate a valid payment step. Retry limits and duplicate protection should be defined with the merchant.

Can an abandoned payment be followed up?

Yes, when consent and channel rules permit it. Before sending a reminder, the system should recheck the payment and order state, validate price and availability, and stop if the customer already completed or cancelled the transaction.

How are refunds handled?

Refund authority and workflow depend on the business and gateway. RaddAI can collect the request, look up context, explain an approved policy, create a ticket, or route the case. Sensitive or exceptional refunds can require human approval.
